SHARE YOUR STORY

Most Bronxites growing up there in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s have probably moved out of the borough that nurtured friendships and relationships. A good percentage of Bronxites met and married their spouses there. Families were started, careers established and decades quickly move on at warped speed. With the passage of time, those nostalgic memories from the past need to be, from time to time, refreshed.

Our resolution to you, our readers, is to keep those memories alive by continuing to find wonderful stories that our readers enjoy. With that in mind, we would like to encourage all of you to contribute a story about YOUR neighborhood. The more stories we receive the better the magazine becomes.

Guidelines for Submissions

Stories may be submitted to Back In THE BRONX in any legible form,
in the following order of preference:

1. Typed and submitted electronically in Microsoft Word for PC, or as a text-only MAC file (*.txt). The file may be sent on a floppy disk (PC format), CD (PC format) or as an attachment to an email (send to info@backinthebronx.com)
2. Typed and submitted electronically in the body of an email (send to info@backinthebronx.com)
3. Typed on paper, double spaced, and mailed to our address above.
4. Handwritten legibly, and mailed to our address above.

We welcome submissions of photos to illustrate your stories, whether they are photos of places or people who are featured in your stories. However, if you don't have photos are art to submit, we have a vast archive of photos, so we are able to illustrate most stories that mention specific locations and/or neighborhoods.

All submissions of original photos or other art will be returned to you intact. We treasure your treasures and will send them back in the condition they are received. We encourage you to include stamped, self-addressed envelopes for photo returns.

We also accept digital image files in the following formats

• JPEG
• TIFF
• PSD
• EPS
• PDF

Digital images are preferred at a resolution of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) or dpi (dots per inch). Lower resolution images are sometimes acceptable, so just send us what you've got and we'll try to use it.

Submit digital images on PC-compatible disks or as attachments to email. (Send to info@backinthebronx.com)
