Real Estate values as you know in and around the New York City have recently stabilized, but for the last half-dozen years they have experienced double digit yearly growth. Perhaps on the coattail of NYC, The Bronx, has also seen its share of increases in this same period.

Most of the higher real estate prices are seen in the expected places: Riverdale, Pelham Bay, Pelham Parkway, City Island and Throggs Neck. Other places, like the areas around the Port Morris section, in and around the Willis Avenue Bridge, are also becoming gentrified with artists and young middle-class families moving there.

Close proximity to Manhattan, coupled with large loft spaces, along with the escalating cost of housing in the city, are a few of the factors that have contributed to the rebirth of this area. Here is a smattering of prices for condos, co-ops, and single-family homes that are currently on the market and recently sold.
